SAF - Sustainable Agriculture Forum

SAF has proven its sustainability relying until now on word of mouth networking and capacity building.  It is a perfect example of the grassroots organization that could, considering how much it has accomplished, and how many lives it has improved since it's inception in 1991.  Direct impact & indirect impact is estimated at over 6000 farmers every year so far.  With SAF now part of the cyber world, this grassroots organization hopes to reach more people, therefore do more in promoting a better of way of living & earning a living to people in need who depend on agriculture as a way to support their families and communities.  And we are proud to point out that in keeping with our efforts to safeguard the environment, our website is hosted using eco-friendly green energy!

July 2007— SAF farmers participate in fair trade export

SAF Farmers participate in fair trade Lao farmer export enterprise, a joint partnership between Lao Farmer Products, GEPA Fairtrade  &  Ethiquable.  Having exported 60 Tons of organic rice to the EU & Russia in 2006 - SAF farmers are well on their way in 2007, exporting thus far 20 Tons of organic rice and other organic fair trade products in the first quarter of this new year.
